Duties and Responsibilities

- Providing Optimal Care: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and medical needs are met in a compassionate manner.
- Supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs): You will organize and oversee the work of CNAs, ensuring that they are providing care in line with the facility’s standards and protocols.
- Administering Medications and Treatments: You will be responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents as prescribed by their physicians, ensuring that their therapeutic needs are met effectively.
- Collaborating with Healthcare Professionals: You will provide input to Unit Managers, Supervisors and physicians regarding the therapeutic value of treatments and resident care, ensuring that care plans are adjusted as needed to provide the best outcomes.
- Documenting Care: Accurate and timely documentation is essential in healthcare and you will be responsible for transcribing, documenting and implementing physicians’ orders, as well as recording information in nursing notes, care plans, incident reports and 24-hour reports.
- Assisting with Admissions and Discharges: In collaboration with Unit Managers and supervisors, you will help facilitate the admissions and discharges of residents, ensuring that these transitions are smooth and well-coordinated.
- Performing Skilled Nursing Procedures: As required, you will perform skilled nursing procedures to meet the medical needs of residents, always ensuring that these procedures are carried out safely and effectively.
- Supervising Sanitation and Infection Control: You will be responsible for overseeing staff adherence to sanitation and infection control protocols, as well as ensuring that equipment is in proper working order.
